PoolPayCoin PPC

A brand-new, fair-launch, CPU-mineable RandomX chain. Launched 2026-11-04 with its own genesis block — not a fork of an existing network's live chain.

What this is

PoolPayCoin is a Bitcoin Core 27 based blockchain using RandomX as its proof-of-work, mined entirely on ordinary CPUs — no ASICs, no GPUs required. It was built and launched by the team behind pool-pay.com, a multi-coin mining pool operator, as its first entirely original chain rather than a pool for someone else's existing coin.

Supply and emission

TickerPPC
Max supply21,000,000 PPC
Initial block reward10 PPC
Halving interval1,050,000 blocks (~4 years at target block time)
Block time (target)120 seconds
Coinbase maturity100 blocks
PremineNone. The genesis block's own coinbase output is consensus-unspendable, as in Bitcoin — not a single coin exists outside what miners earn from block 1 onward.

Same reward/halving ratio Bitcoin itself uses (initial reward × halving interval × 2 = max supply), scaled for a block time 5× faster than Bitcoin's so the real-world halving cadence stays close to Bitcoin's own ~4 years.

Proof of work: rx/pp

RandomX 1.2.1 (the same proof-of-work Monero uses), with one change: its own Argon2 salt (RandomX-PoolPay) instead of Monero's. A block's validity is judged by the RandomX commitment of its 112-byte header (Bitcoin's 80-byte header plus a 32-byte RandomX-hash field, zeroed while hashing) against the network target — the same construction used by Satoshi Cash's rx/scash, just a different salt.

RandomX was chosen because it is deliberately CPU-egalitarian: no specialized hardware gives a decisive advantage, which keeps mining open to ordinary participants rather than concentrating it in a few large ASIC/GPU farms.

Difficulty: ASERT from block zero

Most Bitcoin-derived chains retarget difficulty in large, fixed windows (Bitcoin itself: every 2016 blocks, roughly two weeks). A brand-new chain with very little hashrate is exposed to a real, observed pattern: a botnet or large farm arrives, pushes difficulty far above what the remaining small miners can realistically solve, then leaves — and because the window is so wide, the chain is then stuck finding blocks every few days until the next recalculation, long after the attacker is gone.

PoolPayCoin instead uses ASERT (the same exponentially-weighted difficulty algorithm used by Bitcoin Cash), active from the genesis block itself, with a 2-hour half-life. Every single block recalculates the target based on cumulative schedule deviation since a fixed anchor point — so a sudden hashrate drop is reflected within a handful of blocks (hours), not after waiting out an entire multi-day window.

Honest note on the custom salt

The project does not claim the custom Argon2 salt is a strong, permanent defense against a determined attacker — PoolPayCoin's node and miner source are both public (MIT-licensed), so anyone willing to recompile with the same salt can mine it like any other RandomX coin. Its real, modest value is filtering out generic, pre-built, mass-deployed RandomX botnet malware that targets the standard Monero salt and won't bother custom-rebuilding for a brand-new, near-zero-value chain. The fast ASERT retargeting above is the real, durable defense; hard-coded checkpoints are planned once enough real chain history exists to anchor them against.

Mining

Pool: ppc.pool-pay.com — stratum 5400 (plain) / 5401–5403 (TLS), 1% fee, no forced developer donation. Needs poolpayminer 1.1.34+ (a stock XMRig does not know rx/pp).

poolpayminer -a rx/pp --tls -o ppc.pool-pay.com:5401 -u YOUR_PPC_ADDRESS+rig1 -p x -k
